The ZF PowerLine 8AP 1080 PN 8-speed automatic transmission used in 2025+ RAM Heavy Duty trucks relies on electronically controlled hydraulic pressure, high-precision clutch packs, and an integrated valve body to manage torque output from the 6.7L Cummins Turbo Diesel engine.
Like all modern automatic transmissions, the PowerLine transmission depends on clean, stable transmission fluid for clutch modulation, shift timing accuracy, and internal lubrication. Over time, microscopic clutch material and fine wear debris remain suspended in the transmission fluid, where they can affect hydraulic control precision and long-term component durability.
The Insane Diesel ZF PowerLine 8AP 1080 PN Bypass Transmission Fluid Filter Kit is engineered specifically for 2025–present RAM Heavy Duty trucks equipped with the 6.7L Cummins and ZF PowerLine 8-speed transmission. It provides continuous fine-particle filtration beyond what the factory system is designed to capture, helping reduce contamination load and support long-term transmission reliability in towing, high-load, and commercial-duty operating conditions.

- 1 Pressure port fitting (AN06-10mmx1.0 + AN06-06FJ90)
- 1 Return Port: (AN06-18mmx1.5 + AN06-06FJ)
- 1 1/4 Orifice (1/4 NPT restrictor with 1mm port installed on the housing “IN” port Restricts 120 psi to 1.25 gpm)
